Looking for branding and a website for their new name, Mountain Woodworks creates beautiful handcrafted furniture from sustainably sourced blue pine. Working with the team at Meadowlark Marketing, we wanted to create branding that could represent their shift from “lumberjack” to “craftsman”

Color Scheme
Inspired by the idea of cattle brands and branding a logo into wood, I wanted to create a brandmark that pulled in their wordmark. Wanting to stay away from a traditional MW monogram, I combinie shapes from the M and W to create a new brandmark. To tie in a touch of nature, I created a simplified leaf shape and matched the serifs on the letters.
With the tagline “Handcrafted for Generations”, I wanted to add that idea into the wordmark. I chose to link the double O in Woodworks to create interlocking rings to represent the generations linked together through heirloom furniture passed down from generation to generation.
